AS SEEN IN:

BECOME A BETTER CARER
Kraydel is an AgeTech system for older people and their supporters

Tackle social isolation
Kraydel is a new, easy-to-use service that uses your own TV for video calling - helping people stay connected. The Kraydel hub is specifically designed for those less comfortable with technology.

Promote wellbeing
With alerts for everything from carer schedules, to reminders to take medication and go to doctors' appointments, Kraydel can be an effective support for wellbeing.

Assist decision-making
Kraydel delivers meaningful insights to a person's wellbeing, helping them make better informed decisions about their care in conjunction with family, friends and caregivers.
HOW KRAYDEL PROMOTES INDEPENDENT LIVING
Simple, intuitive technology for anyone who can operate a TV
Sometimes, it’s hard to let go and entrust the care of someone you love to someone — or something — else.
We get that, and that’s why we set out to build something we’d be happy for our own parents to use. Something that’s reliable, secure and above all, easy to use.

WHAT IS KRAYDEL?
Peace of mind in a box
EFFORTLESS SETUP
We designed Kraydel specifically for people who may not be familiar or comfortable using SmartScreen technologies (e.g. mobiles and tablets) to stay in touch with their loved ones. Kraydel is a small box (attached to the top of the TV) that enables quick and easy TV video calling from the user’s TV to mobiles or computers.

LOW-PROFILE TECHNOLOGY
Kraydel is designed to be unobtrusive - supporting independent living, whilst giving carers insight when there’s a marked change in daily routines.
EASY TO USE
The Kraydel device can be set up by anyone in minutes. Users can easily stay in touch with friends, family, carers and even health professionals through their TVs, with the help of Kraydel’s intuitive, large-buttoned remote control.

WHO'S IT FOR?
Anyone who wants to stay independent for longer
No matter what stage of life you’re at, resilience is determined by three key factors: having something to look forward to (optimism), having an interest or hobby (enthusiasm) and having connections (sociability).
Kraydel can help older people achieve all three.

For elderly people living at home
Continue to live independently in the home you love, and stay in contact with family, friends and carers from the comfort of your sofa, using the largest, brightest, loudest screen in the house.

For loving relatives
Empower your elderly relative to live safely, comfortably, and happily in their own home. Enjoy peace of mind, knowing that you can video call them any time from your computer or phone.

For professional care providers
Provide scalable and cost-effective care, manage risk, and deliver an outstanding service to your clients.

Frequently Asked Questions
We’re starting beta trials soon and expect Kraydel to be available to buy during 2019.
Kraydel has three main parts:
- Hub
- Remote control and
- Portal.
The hub sits on top of the TV and plugs into the back, using it as the display.
The hub is controlled by an easy-to-use remote control.
The portal is a web app that can be accessed by carers.
The Kraydel hub is aimed at elderly users, however it could be used by anyone.
Kraydel allows video calls using the hub and the portal.
This means that you can see and speak to someone without having to travel to visit them.
This could be to routinely check how they are or to get back in touch with someone you haven’t seen for years – all while you sit at home in your living room.
Kraydel contains several sensors monitoring the wellbeing of the person in care.
The information from these sensors is available upon logging in to the portal.
The system analyses the information from the sensors and when something isn't quite right, it notifies you.
We designed the remote control alongside user groups to make Kraydel intuitive and easy to use.
Each option on the TV screen is a YES or NO question, corresponding to the green and red buttons on the remote control.
The orange button is for going back, the yellow button is a panic button, and the small black button is for carer mode.
Kraydel has been designed to the highest standards of security.
We encrypt data in transit and store it securely.
KRAYDEL HELPS OLDER PEOPLE STAY AT HOME AND STAY CONNECTED
With friends, family and the local community
No technology can be a substitute for meeting up face to face, of course. All it means is that when you do get together, you can make the most of those precious moments by having fun and making memories.
